World's largest women-led poverty eradication program — 2.5 lakh neighbourhood groups, microfinance, livelihood, and social support

Kudumbashree is Kerala's flagship women empowerment and poverty alleviation mission. It operates through 2.5 lakh Neighbourhood Groups (NHGs) of 15–20 women each. The mission provides thrift, credit, microfinance, enterprise support, and social development programs.

Kudumbashree enterprises employ over 3 lakh women across 70,000+ micro-enterprises in areas including vegetable cultivation, canteen management, tailoring, construction, and IT services.
