₹5 lakh compensation for accidental death or permanent disability of farmers in Uttar Pradesh

Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana, launched in January 2020, provides financial compensation to UP farmers who suffer accidental death or permanent disability (partial or full).

The scheme covers all types of accidental deaths — road accidents, drowning, lightning, animal attacks, tree falls, etc. The compensation amount is ₹5 lakh for death or 100% disability, and proportional amounts for partial disability.

Must be a farmer (owns or cultivates agricultural land in UP)
Permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh
Death/disability must be due to accident (not natural causes/suicide)

File an FIR/report the accident with local police immediately

Get disability/death certificate from Chief Medical Officer

Collect application form from Tehsil or Rajaswa office

Attach all documents and submit to District Magistrate/SDM

DM recommends to Divisional Commissioner

Compensation transferred to bank account after approval
