🎓 Educational Qualification

Clerical posts (Lower Grade Clerk, LDC, Depot Clerk, Typist): 12th pass with the prescribed typing speed (35 wpm English / 30 wpm Hindi on computer).
Shipping cadre (Master 1st/2nd Class, Chief Engine Driver, Marine Radio Operator): 12th pass + the required Certificate of Competency with STCW endorsement.
Shorthand 80 wpm and typing 40/45 wpm for stenographer posts
10+2 in Science for Forester, Field Assistant, Lab Assistant posts
Technical posts (Mechanical Foreman, IT Analyst, Computer Assistant): relevant Diploma in Engineering / Computer.

✅ Selection Process

Tablet Based Test (TBT): A common online objective exam for all posts.
TBT carries 200 marks for 200 questions in 120 minutes, with four sections of 50 questions each:
- English Language — 50 questions
- General Intelligence — 50 questions
- Quantitative Aptitude — 50 questions
- General Awareness — 50 questions
There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer, so attempt carefully.
Physical / Skill / Trade Test: Only for posts where it is essential (typing test, shorthand test, physical endurance for Forester, etc.). This stage is qualifying in nature.
Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates appear in person with original certificates.
